The Large White is quite similar to the Small White but significantly larger with larger areas of black on the wing tips.
It has a pale dusty underside.
As the cabbage plant is one of its foodplants, this species is sometimes referred to as the Cabbage White. For similar reasons, gardeners do not welcome its garden visits.
